Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: *  the field is in the shape of a hexagon whose vertices are P, Q,R,S,T and L.

* PS is taken as diagonal.

* Vertices Q and R on one side of the diagonal PS and vertices T and L are on another side.

* the perpendicular drawn from A to PS  is 50 m.

* in the field book the measurements are to be read upward from bottom.

* the field is divided into 4 triangles.

we can find the following measurements from the above diagram :-

AC=PC-PA ⇒110-40=70 m

CS=PS-PC⇒ 200-110=90 m

DS =PS-PD⇒200-160=40 m

BD= PD-PB⇒ 160-80=80 m

Area of ΔAPQ=1/2*b*h

=1/2*40*50

=1000 Sq m.

Area of trapezium ARQC =1/2h(a+b)

=1/2X70(50+60) ⇒ 1/2X70X110

=35X110 ⇒ 3850 Sq.m.

Area of ΔCRS=1/2 X CR X CS ⇒ 1/2 X 60 X 90

=2700 Sq.m.

Area of ΔSTD= 1/2 X TD X DS ⇒ 1/2 X 30 X 40

=600 Sq.m.

Area of rectangle BLTD = BL X BD

=30 X 80 ⇒ 2400 Sq.m.

Area of ΔPBL = 1/2 X PB X BL

=1/2 X 80 X 30 ⇒1200 Sq.m.

∴ Area of the field =1000+3850+2700+600+2400+1200

=11,750 Sq.m.  Ans.

Hope it's helpful to you ^_^.
