\LARGE{\bf{\underline{\underline{Question:-}}}}

What is the perimeter of the parallelogram given in the above attached image?

\LARGE{\bf{\underline{\underline{Solution:-}}}}

\boxed{\sf{\blue{P = 2(l + b)}}}

So let us firstly find the length and breadth.

Breadth:-

9 + 2a = 4

Length = 6b + 2a = 10b

So, let us firstly find the value of a

9 + 2a = 4

⟹ 2a = 4 - 9

⟹ 2a = -5

⟹ a = -2.5

And now find the value of b in order to get the value of Length

6b + 2a = 10b

⟹ 2a = 10b - 6b

⟹ 2 × (-2.5) = 4b

⟹ -5 = 4b

⟹ -1.25 = b

Length = 6b + 2a

= 6 × (-1.25) + 2 × (-2.5)

= -7.5 - 5

= -12.5

Or,

Length = 10b

= 10 × (-1.25)

= -12.5

Therefore,

Perimeter = 2 (l + b)

= 2 [(-12.5) + (4)]

= 2 (-12.5 + 4)

= 2 (-8.5)

= -17.0

= -17

Note :- Do not forget to use the unit. As here, no unit is mentioned, see the options present there and ensure that the perimeter and the unit is correct.

\boxed{\sf{\blue{P = 2(l + b)}}}P=2(l+b)

So let us firstly find the length and breadth.
