Step-by-step explanation:

in figure ,

In ∆ABC

by Pythagoras theorem,

AC^2 =AB^2 + BC^2

= 4^2 + 3^2

= 16 + 9

AC^2 = 25

AC =√25

*AC = 5*

Now,

In ∆ACD,

angle ACD =90°

By Pythagoras theorem,

AD^2 = AC^2 + CD^2

= 5 ^2 + 12^2

= 25 + 144

*AD^2 = 169*

AD = √169

*AD= 13*

first we will find cos @

cos @ = adjacent side / hypotenuse

cos @ = 12 /13

sec @ = 1/cos @

= 1/12/13

*sec @ = 13/ 12*

here I have used @ instead of alpha as no symbl can replace it....

my ans is absolutely correct...
