Ans 2:-

If hypotenuse of right angled triangle = 13 cm

one other side = 13–1 = 12 cm

Using Pythagoras 13 squared = 12 squared + x squared

x squared = 13 squared - 12 squared = 169 - 144

x squared = 25

x = 5 cm

3rd side is 5 cm.

Answer:

These questions are based on Pythagoras theoram.

P^2+B^2=H^2

Question 1:

In the given figure(see the figure in the attachment)

DE=DC-AB

=28m-18m

=10m

Now in triangle ADE

DE^2+AE^2=AD^2

10^2+24^2=AD^2

100+576=AD^2

AD^2=676

AD=√676

AD=26m

Hence, distance between the tops=26m

Question 2:

In the given figure:

AB^2+BC^2=AC^2

5^2+BC^2=13^2

25+BC^2=169

BC^2=169-25

BC^2=144

BC=√144

BC=12cm

Hence,length of other side=12cm

Plzz mark as brainliest.......
