(a) The leaves of the cactus living in the desert have modified into thorns, this prevents the loss of water in the cactus around the desert heat , as thorns does not helps to transpire to a huge rate. so, water is stored in the cactus for its use .
(b) Plants which have red, brown or violet leaves may synthesise food in their stem, or they use the chemosynthesis process, which is taking chemicals to synthesise their food.
(c) Leaves of plants which have different patches of colour other than green, is called variegated leaves.
