The loss of projectile kinetic energy that is transferred to all target degrees of freedom is shown as a function of impact parameter averaged over the three initial target orientations. The solid line is the total projectile kinetic energy loss, the long dashed line is the energy loss to electronic degrees of freedom, similarly, the short-dashed line shows the translational ͑ nuclear ͒ contribution, and finally the dotted line is the energy lost to rovibrational excitations.
