Answer:

R/4

Explanation:

R1=R2= R/2 (coz  cut in half)

In parallel,

1/R(p) = 2/R + 2/R

= 4/R

==> R(p) = R/4

Answer:

the wire with resistance R is cut into 2 equal parts then

each wire has a resistance of 1/2 ohm

then total resistance(1/Rp)=1/R/2+1/R/2

=2/R+2/R

=4/R

Rp=R/4
