These type of questions are always easy, but it needs your attentiveness of vision.

Solution

1st Case:

3 witches along with a star and broom in their hands is equal to 45.

Now, using the unitary method,

1 witch with a star and broom will be equal to (45÷3) = 15.

2nd Case:

3 stars = 21

So, 1star = (21÷3) =7.

3rd Case:

3 brooms = 12

So, 1 broom = (12÷3) = 4.

♦To Find♦

4th Case:

1 broom + (1 witch × 1 star)

Note that:

The witch is not holding any of the broom and star.

So, for calculating the value of 1 witch without any broom or star:

Subtract the value of broom and star from the value of 1 witch along with them;

i.e.,

» 15–(7+4)

» '4'

Therefore,

The correct answer is given by :

4 + (4 × 7) [Applying DMAS]

4 + 28
