Answer:

12(q1+q2)

Explanation:

After transfer of charge dq,

charge on one sphere =q1−dq

Charge on second sphere =q2+dq

Coulomb's force between the two spheres is

F=(k(q1−dq)(q2+dq))r2

F=(k(q1q2+q1dq−q2dq−dq2))/r2

This is force will be maximum, when

∂F/∂(dq)=0∴(k(q1−q2−2dq))/r2=0

or q1−q2−2dq=0ordq=1(q1−q2)/2

∴ Charge on first sphere =q1−dq

q1−1(q1−q2)/2=1(q1+q2)/2

and charge on second sphere =q2+dq

=q2+1(q1−q2)/2=1(q1+q2)/2

HOPE IT WILL HELP.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer:

Explanation:

After transfer of charge dq,

charge on one sphere =q1−dq

Charge on second sphere =q2+dq

Coulomb's force between the two spheres is

F=k(q1−dq)(q2+dq)/r^2

F=k(q1q2+q1dq−q2dq−dq^2) /r^2

This is force will be maximum, when

q1−q2−2dq=0

or

dq=1/2(q1−q2)

∴ Charge on first sphere =q1−dq

q1−12(q1−q2)=12(q1+q2)

and charge on second sphere =q2+dq

=q2+1/2(q1−q2)=1/2(q1+q2)
