xerophyte and CAM is right answer hope it may help you in CAM plants because it prevents the loss of water so they close their stomata and CAM plant usually desert plant and having xerophytic character

IT IS SO BECAUSE TO PREVENT THE LOSS OF WATER BY THE PROCESS OF TRANSPIRATION.
