So in ∆ ABC and ∆ ADE

D and E is mid point so , we can say AD =DB and AE= EC

so AD/AB = AE/AC ..............1......so, DE/BC

angle d = angle b similarly angle e= angle C

and DE is mid point so, AB = 4.9*2 = 9.8 and AC = 5.1*2= 10.2

and BC is 8.2 which is already given

so, now take equation 1

4.9/9.8= 5.1/10.2 = DE/8.2

DE is 4.1 cm....
