In this question the we have to find the original salary after there is increment of 10% in the salary.

Let the man salary be before increment= x

There is 10% increase in the salary= x+ (10/100)x 

                                                        = x + 0.1 x

                                                         = 1.1x

Increased salary = 11000

Therefore 1.1 x = 11000 x

                       = 11000/1.1= 10,000

Hence the original salary was 10,000
