★Answer:-

• x=15

• y=5

★Explaination:-

Here in this question, concept of ||gm is used. We are given a parellelogram (BURN) and we are asked to find the value of x and y. We know that Diagonals bisects each other in case of parellelogram. So let's use this concept to solve this problem.

Diagonals bisects each other in ||gm. So UN will be bisected or divided equally in 2 parts.

⇒ x+3=18

⇒ x=18-3

⇒ x=15

So the value of x is 15

Now taking another diagonal:

Diagonal BR will be bisected by NU in two equal parts.

So:

⇒ x+y=20

Put the value of x=15

⇒ (15)+y=20

⇒ 15+y=20

⇒ y=20-15

⇒ y=5

So value of y is 5.
