Area= area of rectangle ABCD + area of triangle DCE

Base CF=BE-BC = 8cm

Area= area of rectangle ABCD + area of triangle DCE

Area= l ×b + 1/2 ×base× h

Area=8× 12 + 1/2× 8 ×8

Area= (96 + 32)cm² = 128 cm²
