Answer :

  • p - 2q + 3r - (3r + 5)

  • p - 2q + 3r - 3r - 5

  •  \sf p - 2q \cancel{ + 3r } \cancel{ - 3r} - 5

  • p - 2q - 5

Hence,

p - 2q + 3r is p - 2q - 5 less than 3r + 5
