i) A is acetic acid CH3COOH

  B is an ester (sweet smelling)

 ethanol is C2H50H

ii)  CH3COOH + C2H50H → CH3COOC2H5 + H20

 B is ethyl ethanoate

iii) the reaction is esterificatio reaction
