Joint Venture is a business activity that two different companies undertake together but not in a permanent but a temporary manner for a fixed period of time, when that particular task for which the venture was set up is completed - they leave the partnership and become independent.
Example: Mumbai Metro was a joint venture between MMRDA and Reliance Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.
