Step-by-step explanation:

for a parallelogram

Length of opposite side always be equal

so

(a)

y - 1 = 4 \\ y  \:= 4 + 1 \\ y = 5

2x = 6 \\ x =  \frac{6}{2}  \\ x = 3

(2)

5y - 2 = 8 \\ 5y = 8 + 2 \\ 5y = 10 \\ y =  \frac{10}{5}  \\ y = 2

3 - x = 2 \\ 3 - 2 = x \\ 1 = x \\ x = 1

(c)

here if it is parallelogram

then

OM=OQ

OP=ON

6 = y + 3 \\ y = 6 - 3 \\ y = 3

2x + y = 4 \\ 2x + 3 = 4 \\ 2x = 4 - 3 \\ 2x = 1 \\ x =  \frac{1}{2}
