Dear diary,
Today, we learnt about the harmful chemicals that are added to the vegetables and fruits each one of us consume with every meal. We were encouraged to plant a kitchen garden to produce organic vegetables that is intended to keep us healthy reducing the biomagnification in our bodies. Biomagnification is also a term that I learnt in class today. It is the increased concentration of chemicals in our body that keeps increasing from one trophic level to the next.
I planted the seeds for the kitchen garden along with my sister. DIsha and I planted seeds of everything that we could place hands on like beans, pumpkin, cucumber, etc. We even planted the buds of some potatoes and onions. It was a wonderful experience.
