Answer:
Q6 c)x-potassium y-Sodium
Q7 b)iron<zinc<magnesium<sodium
Explanation:
for the first question sodium and potassium are both soft metals which can be cut using a knife.
- now in the next question iron reacts only with water vapour causing rusting (formation of Fe₂o₃.xH₂o). note it does not react with hot or cold water.
- zinc reacts with water vapour again but faster than oxygen(formation of ZnO and H₂). note it does not react with hot or cold water.
- Magnesium reacts with both steam and cold water but it reacts with cold water slower than sodium hence their is a formation of Mg0. note it reacts with hot water but slowly.
- sodium violently reacts with cold water, hot water and steam. since it is the second most reactive metal.
