Electron gain enthalpy is the energy required to take up one electron by the species. Answer 2 is more appropriate as O+ has a deficiency of electron, so it will require less energy to take an electron to complete its orbital. O ion already has a completed orbital, so it will take comparatively more energy to to take up electron. And O- already has an extra electron in its orbital, it will take maximum energy to take another electron in its orbital.
