Solution:

By seeing the attachment

Firstly finding displacement

Here , given that initial point is A & final point is B

joining both the points it form displacement

Using Pythagoras theorem

Hyp² = base² + height ²

→ AD² = 4² + 3²

→ AD = √16 + 9

→ AD = √25

→ AD = 5

Displacement = 5 m

Now , finding distance

Total distance = AB + BC + CD

→ Total distance = 8 + 4 + 5

Total distance = 17m

Hence , displacement = 5 m & distance = 17m
