- we can say that when the object is in ground it has zero potential energy and kinetic energy is maximum that is half MV square let's keep it as X so in the middle of the cycle between the top and bottom the potential energy will be equal to the kinetic energy which gives the same value of energy that is sum of potential energy and kinetic energy is X . in the same way at the top of the cycle we get the kinetic energy zero whereas there is a potential energy. So here the sum of kinetic energy and potential energy is again X . so these three energy at the three point it of cycle is same which proves the conservation of energy law.
