in Act 2 scene 3 Merchant of Venice Jessica says that he is ashamed of of to be my father's Eyes by saying this reference and make a misconception about shylock in the audience

She told Launcelot that his presence in her life is more important and she can always remember her.
EXPLANATION:
This is from the plot act 2 from the novel ‘The Merchant of Venice’. Launcelot Gobbo worked as a servant to Shylock. Jessica was Shylock’s daughter. Launcelot wants to leave Shylock because he did not like his attitude towards others.
He left his job in the hope that he could serve Bassanio. When he said this to Jessica she flattered him by saying that life was bearable with his father only because of him.
When Launcelot and his father old Gobbo started to leave, Jessica gave him a letter and asked him to give it to Lorenzo, Bassanio’s friend. She also told that she wants to leave her father and wants to marry Lorenzo to lead a happy life.
