Distance of chord=4 cm

Since, line drawn from centre of circle to chord is perpendicular to it...

Hence,

${4}^{2} + {x}^{2} = {5}^{2}$

${x}^{2} = {5}^{2} - {4}^{2}$

${x}^{2} = (5 + 4)(5 - 4)$

${x}^{2} = (9)(1) = > 9$

$x = \sqrt{9}$

$x = 3cm$

Length of chord= 2x

(Chord is bisected by line)

$= 2(3)cm$

$= 6cm$

Hence, length of chord is 6 cm.
