b) (i) on cloudy day rate of photosynthesis decreases as compared to that of day with bright sunshine

(ii) If the non availabily of water increases for a longer time then it affects the growth of plant and slows down photosynthesis.

a)The leaves of a healthy plant coated with vaseline will not remain healthy because the vaseline coating will block the stomata.The plant would not get oxygen for respiration. It would not get carbon dioxide to carry out
photosynthesis.

b) (ii) rate of photosynthesis decreases on cloudy days, since light intensity is less.The availability of water is less in the areas having no rainfall, therefore the rate of photosynthesis will decrease.

(iii) Stomata get blocked due to dust the rate will decrease because CO2 gas required for photosynthesis enters the leaves through the stomata. If the stomata gets blocked due to dust, less CO2, or no CO2 would enter the leave and the rate of photosynthesis will drop.
