RADIUS OF SMALL CONE = r CM

BY GIVEN CONDITION

volume of small cone = 1/ 27 x volume of big cone

1/3 x pie x r² x h =1/27 x 1/3 x pie x R² x 30

(R/r)²=9h/10

now ΔOAB≈ΔOCD

THEREFORE AB/CD=OA/OC

= R/r=30/h

square on both side

(R/r)²=(30/h)²

9h/10=900/h²

9h³=9000

h³=1000

h=10cm

height of smaller cone = 10cm

height of section made = 30 -10

                                      = 20cm
