Construct:Join AC

Proof:

In triangle abc and triangle adc:

Angle cab = angle acd (interior opposite angles)

Angle cad = angle acb (interior opposite angles)

AC = AC (Common)

Therefore by asa similarity criteria :

Triangle ABC = Triangle ADC

Therefore ab=cd (by cpct)

bc=ad (by cpct)

Hence proved
