Explanation:

  1. calcium has 2 electrons on its 1st shell, 8 electrons on its 2nd shell,another 8 electrons of 3rd shell and 2 electrons on its valence shell.
  2. sulphur ha 2 electrons on its 1st shell , all are same as in calcium but it has 6 valence elcectrons.
  3. oxygen has 6 electrons on its valence shell.
