first apply mirror formula and get image distance for starting point of rod which is 20 cm from the pole , we get it 20cm , and then find the image of farthest point of rod which is 30 cm from pole , we get it 15 cm.
finally to get the length of image of rod substract the distances of images of two points of rod i.e. 20-15= 5 cm
