let p(x)=2x^3-3x^2-17x+30
let we take p(2)=2(2)^3-3(2)^2-17(2)+30
16-12-34+30
46-46
0
here we got one factor i.e. x-2
now divide 2x^3-3x^2-17x+30
we get
the quotient as 2x^2+x-15
2x^2-6x+5x-15
2x(x-3)+5(x-3)
(x-3)(2x+5)
all the three factors of 2x^3-3x^2-17x+30are (x-2)(x-3)(2x+5)
