$x + \frac{3+4}{9} = 1$

$x = 1 - \frac{7}{9}$

$x = \frac{9-7}{9} = \frac{2}{9}$

so the probability of white marble is

$\frac{2}{9}$

so now let consider the total number of marble as 'x'

$probability = \frac{x}{54}$

$\frac{2}{9} = \frac{x}{54}$

$9x = 54×2$

$x = \frac{108}{9}$

$x = 12$

hence total number of white marbles were 12
