NREGA stands for National Rural Employment Guranttee Act. It provides a 100 days work for the people in rural areas who do not have any mean to earn money. This helps people to earn money in villages who are below poverty line. In this act, people are provided with nominal wages. I the government is unable to provide 100 days of work to the people in a year the substitute acts are passed.
