They’re not cooperative. This method is characterized by the assumption that one side wins and everyone else loses. It doesn’t allow room for diverse perspectives into a well informed total picture.
Competing might work in sports or war, but it’s rarely a good strategy for group problem

This paragraph is based on the effects of competing, that is taking part in a competition, or being competitive.
Competitive people are not cooperative. When we compete, only one side wins and everybody else loses. Competing does not allow others to put their views forward. It might be a good option for sports or war, but we can't use it in group work.
