8(3x-2y)(3x-2y)-2(3x+2y)-1

8(3x-2y)(3x-2y)+2(3x-2y)-1

Here common binomial is 3x-2y

So, (3x-2y)[2(3x-2y)+8-1]

(3x-2y)(6x-4y)+7]

Finally, (3x-2y)(6x-4y+7)

8(3x-2y)² - 6x+4y-1

8(3x-2y)² -2(3x-2y)-1

let (3x-2y) be a

8a²-2a-1

factorize by trinomial

8a²-4a+2a-1

4a(2a-1)+1(2a-1)

(4a+1)(2a-1)

on substituting

{4(3x-2y)+1}{2(3x-2y)-1}

(12x-8y+1)(6x-4y-1)

Anonymous: the explanation is firstly I factorise the 6x part by taking to as common and then I saw that expression was common in both of them so I substituted it for a and after that I used factorise with trinomials and after it was surprised I substituted the values and then it was the answer and this is correct because the same question is there in my book
