The +ve of the battery is connected with the switch which can be controlled by us. The switch leads to the resistor which sends only the required current to the LED. Then the resistor is connected with the LED. Last LED is connected back to the -ve terminal of the battery. When we switch on the circuit closes and the LED glows.

$the \: value \: of \: the \: resistor \: = 340 \: ohm$

It is not conform because the resistor colour band is not properly visible.
