Answer:

Q1: We know , PQ // RS

Let AB be a transversal passing through PQ and RS

we get , <ABC = <PAB = 70° ( alternate interior angles )

Now , let AC be the transversal , we get

<PAC = <ACS ( alternate int , angles )

< PAC = <PAB +<BAC = 100°

< BAC = 100 - 70

<BAC = 30°

< CAQ = 180 - ( 70 + 30)

< CAQ = 80°

Q2: Firstly prove AB // CD

Construction : extend lines AB and CD

AB till N and CD till M

let BC be the transversal , we know if alternate interior angles are equal then the lines are parallel

So , se get

<BCE + < ECD = 66° = < ABC

So, AB // CD

Secondly , prove CD // EF

here too , we will prove them parallel using the alternate int . angle theorem

< ECM = 180 - 30 ° (ANGLES ON A SRT. LINE)

< ECM = 150°

So , < ECM = < CEF

so, line CD // EF

if AB // CD AND CD // EF , then

AB // EF

hence proved.

hope it helps ..
