2. Copper Sulphate (CuSO4) crystals is blue in colour and has triclinic shape.
The colour is due to the 7 molecules of water of hydration.
Henceforth blue crystal formula is CuSO4.7H20 .
Upon heating it loses the water of hydration and hence becomes WHITE.


3. The metal X is Copper (Cu).
When left in moist air it corrodes by reacting
with atmospheric H2O and CO2 giving it a green coating.
The green coating is due to the formation of Basic Copper Carbonate with formula CuCO3.Cu(OH)2.

1). Baking soda(NaHCO3) can be converted to washing soda (Na2CO3) by heating.

4). The salts used in b/w photography is Silver Bromide(AgBr). It decomposes when exposed to sunlight.
