Step-by-step explanation:

For a quadratic equation ax^2+ bx +c

product of root is c/a

and sum of root is -b/a

Here,product or root =(3a+4)/(a+1)

a/q,

(3a+4)/(a+1)=2

3a+4=2a+2

a=-2

now sum of root is -(2a+3)/(a+1)

put value of a

sum of root= -(2*-2+3)/(-2+1)

=-(3-4)/(-1)

=-1

sum of roots is -1
