From the lens equation,

1/f=1/u-1/v

1/10=1/u-1/30

1/u=1/30+1/10

1/u=2/15

u=15/2=7.5cm

so, object distance=7.5cm

So when the object is placed between the pole and focal point then the image is virtual,erect and magnified image.....

Magnification,m=-30/15/2

m=-60/15

m=-4

So option D is the correct answer.....
