Three fourth of the number = 3/4 × x

Given,

4/5 x is greater than 3/4 x by 4

$= > \frac{4}{5} x - \frac{3}{4} x = 4 \\ \\ = > \frac{16x - 15x}{20} = 4 \\ \\ = > \frac{x}{20} = 4 \\ \\ = > x = 4 \times 20 \\ \\ = > x = 80$

Hence, the number is 80
