HELLO DEAR,

Let P,Q,R,S be the points where the circle

touches the quadrilateral .

From a point out side of the circle  the two

tangents to the circle are equal.

AP = AS,

BP = BQ ,

CR = CQ , and

DR = DS

Adding AP + BP + CR + DR

= AS + BQ + CQ + DS

AB + CD = AD + BC

6 + 4 = AD + 7

AD = 3 cm .

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS

Sanjana111111: AD is 5 not 3

Let P,Q,R,S be the mid-points of AB,BC,CD,DA such that they pass through the radius of the circle
AP=AS
BP=BQ
CR=CQ
DR=DS
Adding together we get,
AP+BP+CR+DR =AS+BQ+CQ+DS
i.e., 6+8=AD+9
AD=14-9
    =5CM
