Given:- AB ll CD & AD ll BC

Construction:- Join AC

Proof:-

Given that.... AB ll CD & AD ll BC

So,. quad(ABCD) is a llgm

........(opposite sides of llgm are parallel)

Now.. ABCD is a llgm

So, AB = CD & AD = BC

.......(opposite sides of llgm are equal)

Now in ∆ADC & ∆ABC, we have

AD = BC (proved above)

AB = CD (proved above)

AC = AC (common)

So, ∆ADC ≅ ∆ ABC.

...(By S.S.S. congruence criteria)

So, ∠ADC = ∠ABC (By C.P.C.T.)

Hence Proved

NOTE: llgm means parallelogram

Hope, it helps
