Hello friend  According to question angle of projection with horizontal is 30degree.  Now we split it ti horizontal and vertical component since velocity is 14 then vetical = 14sin30=7 Horizontal velocity =14cos30=7root3 To find horizontal range we need time period  Now, height of building(assume ) is 12 Since s=ut+1/2at^2 12=7t+5t^2  T=1 other is left bcz time never negative  Therefore horizontal range =hor.
