In the both the cases the surface is same, i. e. The coefficient of friction is constant,

So, the frictional force in both the cases will be same, and mass of the bicycle and the man is also constant...

Now, we know that the angle opposite to the larger side is larger than that to the smaller one..

Therefore, the 5 km path will be easier to travel..
