Answer:

1.The law of conservation of energy is one of the basic laws of physics and therefore governs the microscopic motion of individual atoms in a chemical reaction. The law of conservation energy states: In a closed system, i.e., a system that isolated from its surroundings, the total energy of the system is conserved.

2.Dissipation. ... A dissipative process is a process in which energy (internal, bulk flow kinetic, or system potential) is transformed from some initial form to some final form; the capacity of the final form to do mechanical work is less than that of the initial form.

3.kinetic energy

When the spring is compressed, potential energy is produced in the spring. Thus potential energy is transmitted to the ball which is kept on top of it. This energy is converted into kinetic energy which causes the ball to fly away from its position.

4.The 6 Forms of Energy. There are many forms of energy: like solar, wind, wave and thermal to name a few, but the 6 Forms of Energy we study in Needham are: Sound, Chemical, Radiant, Electric, Atomic and Mechanical.

b)a loaded truck when started and set in motion

c)a car going uphill

d)charging of a battery

e)photosynthesis in green leaves

f)respiration

g)burning of a matchstick

h)explosion of crackers

6. (a) Electrical energy into sound energy (b) Heat energy into mechanical energy (c) Sound energy into electrical energy

(d) Electrical energy to mechanical energy

(e) Electrical energy into light energy

(f) Chemical energy to heat energy

(g) Light energy into electrical energy
