Solution.

Co-ordinates of A = (-4,0)
Co-ordinates of B = (0,6)

It is given that,
➡AR = 3/4 AB
➡AR:AB = 3:4
➡AR : (AB-AR) = 3 : (4-3)
➡AR: RB = 3 : 1

Now,
m1 = 3
m2 = 1
x1 = -4
x2 = 0
y1 = 0
y2 = 6

So,
x - coordinate of R = m1x2 + m2x1 / m1+m2
➡3×0 + 1×(-4) ÷ 3 + 1
➡0-4÷4
➡-4÷4
➡-1.

Now,
y - coordinate of R = m1y2 + m2y1 ÷ m1 + m2
➡3×6 + 1×0 ÷ 3+1
➡18 + 0 ÷ 4
➡18/4
➡9/2.

Hence, co- ordinates of R = (-1 , 9/2).
