Hello user☺☺

Lets calculate the volume of cylinder upto the point where water is being filled.

Vol. of cylinder at height 30cm will be..

V = π r^2×h

Here, h = 30 cm and r = 7 cm

So, V = 22/7 ×7 ×7 ×30

= 22×7×30

= 4620 cm^3 ...........(1)

Now, vol. of sphere = 4/3× π ×r^3

Here, r = 1 cm.

So, V = 4/3 × 22/7 ×1^3

= 88/21

= 4.19 cm^3 .....(2)

Vol. of water = (1) - (2)

= 4615.81 cm^3.

Hope this will help☺☺

Hey Mate !

Here is your solution :

In the above question,we have to find the volume of water.

Given,

A metal sphere is immersed in a cylindrical glass containing water.

So, volume of water = Volume of cylindrical glass upto where water is filled - Volume of metal sphere.

Now,

For metal Sphere,

Diameter = 2 cm

Radius = Diameter ÷ 2

Radius ( r ) = 2 cm ÷ 2 = 1 cm

Volume of sphere = ( 4/3 ) π r³

= ( 4/3 ) ( 22/7 ) ( 1 cm )³

= ( 88/21 ) cm³

For cylindrical glass,

Height ( h ) = 30 cm

Diameter ( d ) = 14 cm

Radius ( r ) = d ÷ 2

= 14 cm ÷ 2 = 7 cm

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

= ( 22/7 ) ( 7 cm )² 30 cm

= ( 22/7 ) 49 × 30 cm³

= 4620 cm³

Volume of water = 4620 cm³-(88/21 ) cm³

= { ( 4620 × 21 - 88 ) / 21 } cm³

= { ( 97020 - 88 )/ 21 } cm³

= ( 96932 / 21 ) cm³

= 4615 . 8 cm³ ( approx )

As , 1000 cm³ = 1 litre

So, 1 cm³ = ( 1/1000 ) litre

Sl, 4615.8 cm³ = ( 4615.8 / 1000 ) litre

= 4.6158 litres.

Ans : 4.6158 litres or 4615.8 cm³ ( Approx )

Hope it helps !! ^_^
