The bullet is fired from the police van. So there velocities should be added as initially it was moving along the van with the same speed.

150 m/s = 150 × 18/5 = 540 km/hr

Total velocity = 540 + 30 = 570km/HR.

We have to find relative speed of the bullet with respect to the thief car. So relative velocity in same direction is subtracted.

570-192=378.

Bullet hits the car with 378 km/hr velocity
