using the formula v^2=u^2-2as.
(u/2)^2=u^2-2a3.
=>u^2/4=u^2-6a.
=>6a=3u^2/4
=>a=u^2/8.
so now....again using above formula for when it comes in rest..
0^2=u^2 - 2(u^2/8)s
=>(u^2/4)s=u^2
=>s/4 =1
=>s=4

so now....again using above formula for when it comes in rest..
0^2=u^2 - 2(u^2/8)s
